‘Twas the Night Before Spring

‘Twas the night before spring – when all through the land
Not a snowflake was falling – despite winter’s command
Flip-flops & sandals waiting to be worn
In hopes that spring would be born in the morn

All of us waiting for the next day to arrive
Excited for nature to come alive
Dormant grass – ready to turn green
Flora & fauna – waiting to be seen

When out from the sky – came a boom of thunder
I ran outdoors & caught the rainbow wonder
I jumped for joy & shouted with glee
For winter was gone & spring was set free

Good Night & Sweet Dreams-
RoSy :)
