The true American hero, by definition and by excellence – a living legend… impressive and an international example…

Great quote, RoSy. He died much too young. :(

Gotta few historical peeves on Lincoln. One is that Emancipation declared slaves free only in states in rebellion. This kept 4 border states with slaves in the union. Pretty sly politically and militarily but an unholy compromise against human rights for all.

He had a strange beard, a weird hat, but very wise words

Nice. Hope you are keeping warm and dry. I just took out a yard stick.
Between what was there and what we’ve gotten so far to day =
11 inches. But that might just be where the yard stick hit ice and not the ground.
Round two is supposed to start at 5pm – it’s only about 3:30pm now :)

That’s a lot o’ snow. We got a few flurries today – nothing too crazy. But – we’ve had more than enough & I’m ready for spring.
Today was supposed to hit 30s. But – upper 20s is what we got.
Trying to stay as warm as I can & hope that you are too.

      Thanks Ruth! :)
This statue was at the park where the ice-sculpture event started. It was snowing that day. If you look closely by the words – you can see the sun trying to peek in too.
